صدر في موسكو، العدد الأول من «مجلة المسلم»، وهى مجلة فصلية مستقلة، تتحدث عن حياة وأحوال المسلمين في روسيا وخارجها.
وتقول لاؤورا عبد اللايفا، نائبة رئيس التحرير، أن: "المجلة لا تمثل أية هيئة دينية أو اجتماعية ولا تتحدث عن الدين، بل عن البشر الذين يؤمنون بالله عز وجل، وعن الأزياء الإسلامية والتسلية والثقافة وأصناف الأطعمة الإسلامية والتقاليد الإسلامية".
ويتضمن عدد المجلة مقابلات مع أصحاب مدونات وصحفيين ومخرجين سينمائيين وباحثين فنيين ومصممين، كما تخلو المجلة من إعلانات التبغ والكحول وحفلات الترفيه التي لا تليق بالمسلم والصور الخليعة.
ويتكون العدد الأول من 96 صفحة، فيها مرشد سياحي للأماكن الإسلامية في ثلاث مدن في العالم هي مكة المكرمة وموسكو ولندن، وتوزع المجلة بصورة رئيسية في موسكو وتتارستان وبشكيريا وداغستان وجمهورية تشيتشينيا.
Issued in Moscow, the first issue of the Journal of Muslim, an independent quarterly magazine, talking about life and the conditions of Muslims in Russia and abroad.
